ACCOMMODATION

August is a very busy month in Istanbul. It is recommended that all participants make their accommodation bookings as early as possible.

TeamCon has made block reservations at different category hotels nearby the congress venue, at special rates. These rates can be obtained only if bookings are made by the Conference Secretariat (TeamCon).

Accommodation requests will be honoured only when the form and full payment are received.

All extra expenses such as meals, mini bar, telephone calls, dry cleaning etc. should be paid to the hotels directly before check-out.

Check in to the hotels begins at 14:00 hours and check out from the hotels ends at 12:00 hours.

TeamCon will operate a "first come"; first served"; basis with hotel requests. Any changes or cancellation should be communicated by fax or email to TeamCon.

•  The above mentioned rates are per room per night accommodation rates based on bed & breakfast and are inclusive of 8% VAT.
• Any change in the VAT will be reflected to the fees given.

Deadline for Advance Accommodation Reservation Requests
Thursday, June 23rd , 2011
Please note that requests after this date will still be processed but your accommodation can not be guaranteed due to the unavailability of the conference hotels at this date.  To avoid any inconveniences we recommend you to make your reservation at an earlier stage.

How to Make Accommodation Reservation
Accommodation requests are processed only with the full payment of the stay.  Reservations can be completed online or by filling out the Registration & Accommodation Reservation From and sending it to the Conference Secretariat.  You will be required a valid credit card for Online Accommodation Reservation.  For written applications either a valid credit card may be used or wire (bank) transfer can be performed.  Please read carefully the cancellation policy and payment terms below.

Cancellation and Refund Policies


ALL CANCELLATIONS must be sent in writing to TeamCon Congress Services Worldwide.

ACCOMMODATION CANCELLATIONS made;

All refunds will be processed after the URSI GASS 2011.
Please send your exact bank account details in your written cancellation application. All bank fees related to the refunds are to be paid by the participant.

METHODS of PAYMENT

All payments are to be paid in EUROs. Payments can be made by using one of the methods stated below.

• Online Registration:
  Attendees should sign in the Online Registration System and create their accounts for the URSI GASS 2011 by providing their personal details. By using this 3D Secure* online system, attendees will be able to register and purchase accommodation, airport-hotel-airport transfers, city and pre/post tours. Attendees will be required a valid 3D Secure* credit card to which the fees will be debited.
  
  VISA, EuroCard / MasterCard are accepted for the payments. Please note that American Express cards can not be processed via online registration.
  
  *What is a 3D Secure credit card?
  - 3D Secure is an XML-based protocol used as an added layer of security for online credit card transactions. The system was developed by Visa and has also been adopted by MasterCard.

• Wire (Bank) Transfer:
  The wire transfer should be exclusive of bank or any other charges. Please make sure to indicate PARTICIPANT'S SURNAME and all below details during the transfer. 
  
  A copy of the transaction statement should be faxed to TeamCon Congress Services Worldwide (+90 212 343 8023. Please note that all bank transfers should be exclusive of any  bank charges.

• Mail Order:
  Please sign in the online registration system, fill out the required fields on the system and on the payment page please click Mail Order Credit Card Payment and print the form and fill out the Credit Card Information in writing and then fax the form to the Conference Secretariat. Upon receipt of your form, registration amount will be debited from your credit card and your confirmation will be sent upon receiving the transaction from the bank.
